ITT Night Vision Objective Lens Cover

The objective lens cover slips over the rubber nose piece to protect the optical elements from damage. Remove the cover before using the viewer. Due to a pinhole in the objective lens cover, this cover can also be used to operate the Night Vision viewer under daylight conditions to focus the eyepieces or familiarize yourself with the system's operation. However, when the objective lens cover is used for daylight operation, the focus mechanism does not work. The cover operates much like a "pinhole" camera.
